Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, especially around the time of birth. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to reserve your stay at The RUBY Postnatal. This deposit is designed to hold your spot, and it is fully applied to the total cost of your stay. The deposit is only non-refundable in the event of a complete no-show. You will not lose it if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected. To ensure fairness to all of our guests, we have the following cancellation policy:

  • No Refund: Cancellations made 14 days or less before your scheduled check-in date are non-refundable.

  • Special Circumstances: We are aware that sometimes unexpected situations arise, such as a baby needing to be admitted to the NICU or complications during birth. If such circumstances occur, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will work with your family to find a solution that best accommodates your needs.

Our priority is to support families during this special time, and we’re here to help however we can.

While you’ll select an estimated timeframe based on your due date, we are fully prepared to adjust your check-in to align with your actual birth.  Our system is designed for flexibility, ensuring your serene retreat is ready when you are. Whether your little one arrives early or late, The RUBY Postnatal moves with your journey, ensuring your space is ready when you need it most.

We have exciting news — your Flexible Savings Account or Health Savings Account (HSA) can be used to cover your stay at The Ruby Postnatal Retreat!

Whether you’re planning ahead for postpartum recovery or currently navigating those early days, your HSA benefits can be applied to services like lactation consultations, nurse care, postpartum doula support, and more – all included in your Ruby experience.

A smart tip as we head into fall:

Most employers allow you to elect HSA contributions during open enrollment (typically October/November for 2026 plans). Here’s why that matters:

You don’t have to save up all year.
Most HSA administrators front-load your full annual election amount on January 1, even if you contribute gradually from each paycheck.

That means if you select a $3,000 or $5,000 HSA contribution during this year’s open enrollment, you’ll have access to the full balance on January 1, 2026 — perfect timing for postpartum recovery in the new year.

Your package includes a private luxury room, meals, massages, night nurse, educational classes, lactation support, nursery access, and nurse support — depending on the level of care you choose. We offer several packages so you can find the one that fits you best.

The Ruby is not a hospital or medical facility. We are a recovery retreat staffed by licensed postpartum nurses and lactation consultants. In the rare event of an emergency, we follow standard hotel and home protocols — including calling 911 immediately.

Not at all. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, every mother deserves a chance to rest and recover. In fact, second- and third-time moms often say they really appreciate the extra support.

Nope. We’ve got you covered — from bassinets and changing stations to diapers,
wipes, and nursing pillows. We even have Nanit cameras and premium postpartum care
products waiting in your room.

We welcome babies 0–8 weeks postpartum for our standard stays. If you’re beyond 8 weeks, you’re still welcome — just select The Ruby Rest package, designed for moms at any stage of motherhood who need a restorative solo stay (no baby required!)

Yes! Every room includes accommodations for a support person. Whether it’s your spouse, mom, best friend, or doula — we welcome the village.

Our nurses are experienced mother-baby nurses who currently work in hospital
postpartum units. At The Ruby, they provide the same level of care — but in a peaceful,
luxurious setting.

Most moms reserve their stay 4–5 months in advance — but it’s never too early or too
late! If you’re expecting or recently delivered, reach out. We often accommodate last-
minute bookings depending on availability.

We understand that babies don’t always arrive on schedule! When you book, we’ll
reserve your preferred time and stay flexible around your actual delivery. If your baby
comes early or late, we’ll do our best to shift your stay dates accordingly, pending
availability. Think of it as a “floating reservation” that adjusts to your timeline.

As often as you want! You’re in control. Our nursing staff is here to support your needs,
not schedule your time. Need a nap? Text your nurse and roll baby into the nursery.
Want a full night’s rest? Our nurses are happy to feed baby or bring baby to you just for
nursing. You call the shots.

We recommend a minimum of 3-5 nights to fully benefit from our comprehensive services and allow for optimal rest and rejuvenation. However, we also offer extended stays for those who desire a longer period of support and pampering.
